are in families with "high incomes" which are 3X the Federal
Poverty Level and above.

are in families with "mid-incomes" which are 2-3X the Federal

- Many people who can
afford health insurance don't know where to get it or what kind of insurance
is right for them.
- In California, approximately
2.5 million uninsured people have household incomes greater than 200%
of Federal Poverty Level.

- 75% of the uninsured
in California don't believe they can afford health insurance,

can save as much as 50 percent of their monthly premium by switching to
a comparable plan (in California).
- More than 40 percent
