  When does the COBRA continuation of benefits begin?
 
If you choose to elect COBRA continuation of benefits, then there will be no interruption of your health coverage, as the continuation of benefits is effective on the same date that you lost your regular employee status.

If you originally rejected COBRA continuation of benefits, but changed your mind within the 60 day window, then your COBRA coverage will begin on the day you inform your employer that you have changed your mind.
