This time of year tends to be naturally busy for most, but especially small business owners. We’ve got some tips and tricks on how to stay organized, save time, and maximize your workflow, while enjoying the holiday season.

Stay Organized

As a small business owner you probably have a lot of routines to help you stay organized. It’s important to stick to these even when business gets a little demanding. Doing things such as taking 5 minutes to plan out your day, creating checklists, checking-in with yourself as well as your staff, and planning for interruptions are all useful to help you work more efficiently.

 Eat-In

Having lunch at your desk is a good trade-off on some days. It helps you save time by multi-tasking and can even help save you money.

Share the Responsibility

Trust in your employees and pass along some of the tasks that you usually take on yourself. This will set up more time for you to focus on other priorities and deadlines.

Communicate

Remind your family, friends, and the rest of your circle about what’s going on in your work life. Let them know how you’ll respond to requests. This will help set appropriate expectations during this busy time of year.

 Make Time to Recharge

Spread your rest and relaxation throughout times of the year that are less demanding for your business. This will help you recharge and regain energy for the peak seasons.

Get Some Air

Get out and get moving. Going for a quick walk can help restore mental agility and can even help to reduce stress. Return to your work day feeling ready to take on the next project!
