Idaho legislature voted in March 2013 to create their own state-based marketplace, resulting in Your Health Idaho. Almost 100,000 Idahoans are covered with plans bought through Your Health Idaho, and a majority of those enrolled received financial help to pay for their health insurance. The mission of Your Health Idaho is to maintain control of Idaho’s health insurance marketplace at a minimal cost to citizens.

eHealth is a private, online health insurance exchange where you can shop for individual, family, and small business health insurance plans. eHealth’s exchange is separate from the government-run exchanges like Your Health Idaho, but in many states eHealth has agreements to partner with the government-run exchange. In those states, if you want a qualified health plan under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that will allow you to get federal subsides, you can still shop those plans on eHealth. In addition to qualified health plans, eHealth has a wide range of health insurance plans and products that you might not find on your state’s health insurance exchange.
